Halloween

I can not believe its already Halloween, and tomorrow will be the first of November. Its crazy how fast time can go. In just a few short weeks the semester will be over and then it'll be Christmas-if the end of the world doesn't happen first.

Cornmaze's

I went to the cornmaze over the break and as I was walking through the decaying stalks of corn I realized how exhausting and boring they are to walk through. Definitely not something I look forward to doing again. If I wanted to get lost all I need to do is get in my car and drive around.

Labor Day Weekend

This past Labor Day weekend I went up to Salt Lake City with my parents. What I thought would be a great fun vacation turned out to not be as great as I wanted it to be. My main purpose of going on the trip instead of staying at home was to go to the Hoogle Zoo with my nieces and nephews. However, the zoo was so packed with people that our plans changed. Instead we spent the afternoon wandering around the many stores in City Creek mall, including the Disney Store and Tiffany's. We also went to another store called Asian City where I spent way too much money on Chinese fans, bracelets, and a bamboo plant. Overall it was a fun weekend just not what I was expecting, but as we all know plans change.

The Cat With Two Faces

As I was headed out the door this morning I saw an interesting picture displayed on our kitchen TV. It was just a glimpse but what I saw amazed me.

I'm an animal lover myself and I think it is amazing how each animal has there own unique color or characteristic. That's how one of my cats got its name- Raindrop- because of the big black raindrop shape displayed on his furry white face.

However what amazed me is the sight of this cat. It has two unique faces. One side black the other side calico. And those eyes, one green and one blue. I've never seen anything like this before.

In the article, the owners talked about how viewers thought the image was photoshopped or how they must have dyed half her [Venus's] face. But how would dying the fur change the eye color? And clearly after watching this video you can tell this cat was not photoshopped.

My First Post!

I’ve never had a blog, nor ever really wanted one, but since keeping a blog seems to be popular for my other classes, I guess I have to have a blog. Apparently when keeping a blog you need some sort of a theme and since I have really no clue what to choose my theme is just going to be about life in general.
My topic for this blog will be about school. Its already been a very hectic first week back and I know it will probably get a whole lot worse before it gets better. After a nice adventurous and relaxing summer in Europe for three weeks it’s very difficult to come back to school. I think it’s because I'm dreading the homework that is going to be piling up and all the other commitments I'm now a part of. As a way to break out of my anti-socialness I became a part of the schools new radio station as well as joined the school newspaper, both of which are taking a hefty amount of my time. Besides the other 14 credits I’m taking I am also working two jobs so the “me” time I used to have is practically gone.
However, I did get some "me" time watching the second season of Chuck this weekend. A fantastic TV show for those who haven’t seen it. Also, instead of going to the foam dance I was able to catch up with 3 of my high school friends I haven’t seen for a while. We went to Laser Mania where I experienced my first game of laser tag. It was actually pretty fun, and while I had no clue what I was supposed to do I was the 3rd highest score on our team. We also did a 4D movie ride and got sprayed multiple times by stinky mildew water and after that did some black light miniature golfing where we all cheated, but had a good time doing it.
As for the rest of my weekend I spent that on some much needed sleep, and now with the weekend almost over it’s time to start getting my homework done and preparing for the second week of school.
Oh and I love quotes so here is my quote for this post.

"Enjoy the little things in life...for one day you'll look back and realize they were the big things."
